Taiwan FM To Visit SVG, Budget Day February 5th, Teachers Upgrade

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves on Tuesday 2^nd January made a number of announcements on Budget 2018, the visit of a Foreign Dignitary to the state, Barrel concessions and an update on graduate teachers.

1. On Monday 29^th January the estimates for the 2018 budget will be brought before the house of assembly, while the debate on the 2018 budget will commence on  5^th February.
2. The Foreign Minister of Taiwan David Lee will visit St Vincent and the Grenadines on the 1^st of February.
3. The concessions on Christmas barrels will continue until  15^th January 2018.
4. Steps would be taken to ensure that Graduate Teachers up to and including 2010 and who have not been appointed as a Graduate Teacher would now take place.

The Prime Minister said the changes to facilitate the upgrade would cost the state about 2 Million dollars.
