SVG Hits 40! 28yro Edinboro Man Killed In Canouan

St Vincent and the Grenadines has recorded homicide number 40 on Sunday 26th November 2017.

According to information obtained by News784, a 28yro man of Edinboro became the latest to be added to the crime Statistics after he was stabbed.

The information obtained revealed that the altercation started when the victim who goes by the alias (Piper) was hanging out with Joshua Toppin a 37 years Labourer of Barrouallie and a group of friends in the vicinity of Toppin’s home at Bayside Retreat Canouan drinking for the entire day.

At About 8:30 pm on Sunday night, News784 was told that Piper started to misbehave as he apparently became intoxicated.

The Edinboro resident was asked to leave after he threatened to burn down Toppin’s house, However, he refused to do so.

News784 also learnt that Piper on refusing to leave took an empty Strong Rum bottle and struck Toppin to the left side of his head.

Toppin in retaliation took a knife and stabbed Piper to the left side of his Neck and the left side of his Rib.

Piper succumbed to his injuries according to a Police report. SVG recorded 40 homicides in 2016.
