Health and Wellness Commission Launched

On Tuesday, October 31st, 2017, the Ministry of Health officially launched The National Health and Wellness Commission at the National Insurance Services conference room.

The Commission will be headed by Chairperson, Dr. Timothy Providence and comprises of members drawn from government ministries, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, the media and faith-based organization.

The lifespan of the Commission will be for 3 years according to a release from the Ministry of Health.

A Health & Wellness Commission is advisory body concerned with the health and well-being of a nation.

They try to identify health issues in the county,  coordinate existing services and/or establishment of additional services or programs to meet those needs.
