Rockies Man Allowed Bail Following Arrest

Following a shooting incident which occurred on Sunday, October 15th at the public road in Paul’s Avenue which resulted in Jawanza Frazer nursing gun-shot wounds, an arrest has been made.

The Major Crime Unit have arrested and charged Jomarno Tash of Rockies on one count of attempted murder and having in his possession an offensive weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.

Tash was on Thursday morning October 19th escorted to the Serious Offences Court facing the charges which were laid indictably before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne to which he was not allowed to enter a plea.

Senior Prosecutor did not object to his bail stating that the victim was released from the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital earlier on Thursday morning.

 As a result, he was allowed bail in the sum of $30,000.00 with one surety he is to surrender all travel documents to the Court and is not to leave the state without the express permission of the court.

He is not to have any contact with Frazer and is to report to the Central Police Station any day of the week between 6 am and 6 pm.

The Preliminary is expected to commence on January 24th, 2018.
