No Bail For Cane Garden Burglar

Kert Williams a thirty-one (31)  year old of  Sion Hill one of the two persons being Leon “Buyaka” Samuel resident of  New Montrose who would have broke and entered the dwelling house of Anis Issa of Cane Garden of October 10th, 2017.

He has been charged for burglary,  at the time of his arrest he had a knife and crow-bar in possession.

He was on Friday, October 13, 2017, escorted before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne facing the charge which was laid indictable.

When the question of bail arose senior persecutor Adulphus Delpsche objected stating that the accused is currently on bail for similar offences.

In response defence counsel Ronald Marks told the court that presently there are numerous amount of cases down for trial within the next several weeks and to keep his client on remand would perhaps be unfair to him, he requested of the court to allow him bail.

The persecutor’s objection was upheld and Williams was ordered to be detained at Her Majesty’s Prison until January 23rd, 2018 when the preliminary inquiry is expected to commence.
