(NYDAILYNEWS) A 35-year-old Brooklyn man was charged Thursday with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, who worked as a city correction officer, police said.
Keon Richmond allegedly gunned down Alastasia Bryan as she sat in her parked 2016 Infiniti in Bergen Beach on Dec. 4, police said.
Richmond was already in jail for allegedly torching another girlfriend’s car in East New York on Oct. 13.
He had been charged with arson for that crime — and later ordered held without bail on Dec. 14 as cops continued to investigate him for the Bryan murder.
Shirley Mejia, another of his ex-girlfriends, was arrested for allegedly helping him set the car on fire, police said.
Bryan, a rookie correction officer, was shot execution-style while talking on the phone in her car at E. 73rd St. and Avenue L.
The gunman — sitting in a nearby car — got out, approached her vehicle and fired five times before fleeing. A security video captured Bryan’s killer pumping the five bullets into the helpless victim.
