(NYDAILYNEWS) A masked menace burst through the doors of a Brooklyn fried chicken joint Saturday night, whipped out a handgun and shot a man in the face, police said.
The 18-year-old victim — who miraculously survived the attack — was inside a Crown Fried Chicken on Rockaway Ave. near Fulton St. in East New York when his assailant entered at 7:45 p.m., police said.
The suspect took out a revolver and blasted his victim twice, striking the teen’s face and chest, police sources said.
Medics rushed the wounded man to Brookdale Hospital, where police said he was in stable condition.
Blood stains could be seen outside the fast food shop’s entrance late Saturday as police investigated.
“Watch out. There’s a lot of blood in there,” one cop was overheard advising another officer before entering the crime scene.
The gunman took off after the shooting and was still at large Saturday night.
