Plans to ensure orderliness among vendors for Vincy Mas

The Physical Planning Unit within the Ministry of Housing, Informal Human Settlements, Lands and Surveys is encouraging persons who are interested in vending on the streets of Kingstown, this Carnival season, to comply with the logistical arrangements that will be in place.

Speaking at a press conference hosted by the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), Physical Planning Officer Shelford Stowe noted that there is increased activity on the streets of capital city Kingstown, during this period, hence these arrangements are being implemented in an effort to ensure public order and safety.

Mr. Stowe outlined the various areas along Lower Bay Street where vending will be allowed.

In relation to Heritage Square, Mr. Stowe noted that the established trailer bars which operate there on a daily basis will be allowed to operate, with the addition of two trailers, however, no icebox vending will be allowed on the side opposite where the taxi stand is located.
