The SVG Meteorological Office in their latest forecast for the island said they are monitoring a strong tropical wave (disturbance) with an associated 1007 MB low pressure, now located 800 miles east-southeast of the Southern Windward Islands.
There is a medium chance that the disturbance could be developed into a closed system when the centre reaches St.Vincent and the Grenadines around early Tuesday.
Whether or not there is development, squally conditions are expected.
Warnings will be issued later today as powerful winds reaching gale force, and very rough to high seas are expected Monday night.
Rainfall accumulations more than 200 mm (4) inches are possible across St.Vincent and the Grenadines by late Monday into Tuesday.
Please pay close attention to local radio and television stations, as well as other reliable media channels for weather related information.
