The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in collaboration with the OECS Commission will hold a community meeting at 5 pm on Tuesday 28th February at the Sandy Bay Adventist Church.
The meeting will discuss the development of a Risk Reduction Plan for the Sandy Bay Community.
Last November Sandy Bay suffered numerous damages due to a trough system that pounded the island with torrential rains.
There were damages to homes with a number of individuals living in government shelters for a period of time.
Residents of the community are invited to this meeting where the organisation will discuss past disasters in Sandy Bay and how residents can work together with national and regional agencies in reducing the impact of hazards and disasters.
